Beth Orton - Central Reservation
This is a bit of an old favourite that I've been listening to heaps recently and have not yet gotten sick of. It's such a good album. Beth Orton is a talented songwriter but she also has such a mesmerising voice - it's very difficult to turn off her music. Maximum recommendations.

Hey, I'm glad you also like this album — it's great. I love her voice and the slow, almost country music is perfect for it.
"Sweetest Decline" is my favourite track. It reminds me of sitting on a porch with friends in the summer, too happy and tired to talk.
Yeah that's also one of my favourites, and it certainly does have that "sittin' on a porch" vibe.
I like "Pass in Time". It sounds like nothing else I can think of.
I, also, like this song.
I'm really enjoying your blog too.
Thanks Alex. Glad to have your comments.
Thanks for the recommendation.
'Pass in Time' is about Beth's Mum dying.
